This is a blog that follows and explores the book Matilda written by Roald Dahl and published in 1988. It is the story of a young girl who is born into a family that does not appreciate her. She finds a passion for books and the world around her. She eventually convinces her parents to enroll her into school at Crunchem Hall, where she meets friends and develops a close relationship with her teacher, Miss Honey. The only down side to her school is the head-mistress, Miss Trunchbull.

Why Matilda?
I chose to read Matilda by Roald Dahl becuase I very much enjoy his writing. I have read other books by Roald Dahl such as Witches and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I enjoy the fantasy, innocene and the ability to get lost in each of his books.
I read Matilda to my sixth grade class at the beginning of the year every year. They love it too. May I ask if this blog is a project for school? (As part of your masters)
